Chef’s Table is a Netflix series that follows renown chefs from all over the world in a documentary format. This September 2018 they released Season 5 of the series. Below is a list of locations for the restaurants featured in this season. Chef’s Table is directed by David Gelb.
Episode 1: Çiya Sofrasi
Musa Dağdeviren has been preserving and discovering traditional Turkish cuisine for more than 25 years. Dağdeviren’s interest in food began at an early age, helping out at his uncle’s bakery as a child, and eventually led him to open a kebab, lahmacun and pide restaurant called Çiya in Istanbul in 1987. In 1998, Çiya Sofrasi, opened and perhaps best encapsulates Dağdeviren’s passion for his Turkey’s multicultural cuisine.Dağdeviren created the Çiya Foundation Education Center to preserve and teach classic Turkish cuisine.

Episode 2: Bo.Lan
Bo Songsiva and Dylan are a married husband and wife duo who strives for zero waste and 100% sustainability in Thai cuisine. Bo.Lan is a 100% organic, high-end Thai food restaurant where food is literally slow cooked to preserve the traditional cooking culture of Thailand. They also own a hip Thai restaurant called Err which I highly recommend.

Episode 3: Tickets Bar
Alberto Adrià is a restauranteur who loves magic. His Tickets restaurant in Barcelona creates illusions out of their food menu. Make reservations here.

Episode 4: South Philly Barbacoa
Cristina makes the best Barbacoa at South Philly Barbacoa. Born and raised in Capulhuac, Mexico, Cristina moved to the US to escape her abusive husband. She created a life and community over here that bonded over her cuisine.
